cleverly.targets.Interpretation#

class cleverly.targets.Interpretation(label: str, meaning: str, assumptions: tuple[str, ...], references: tuple[str, ...] = ())[source]#

One causal reading of an identified functional, with the assumptions it adds.

A functional can identify two causal parameters under two different exchangeability assumptions. The modified treatment policy functional of Díaz, Williams, Hoffman and Schenck (2023) is the policy effect under strong sequential randomization (Theorem 1 (ii)) and the mean under a stochastic intervention under standard sequential randomization (Theorem 1 (i)). Identification.assumptions holds what both readings need, and each reading holds its own exchangeability assumption.

Parameters:
labelstr

The name of the causal parameter.

meaningstr

What the number is under this reading.

assumptionstuple of str

What this reading adds to the shared assumptions.

referencestuple of str

Where the reading is proved.
